Tuesday 11^th March

The weather is not going to be mentioned on Day 22. We got ourselves organised to go for a walk by early afternoon. All the puddles of Monday were much bigger on Tuesday – we did not moan, we just walked carefully around them and only occasionally had to walk through them. Our target was to walk away from Modril on the coastal path, to reach Los Moriscos Club de Golf. This was a  distance which we managed to do without Paul being in pain. There was a grocery shop where we stopped to buy a few basics. We should have bought less as it was a heavier bag than it needed to be! We trudged slowly back to the campsite and stopped on the way at a rather nice looking beach club – the Sunahra Beach Club. It was actually built on the sand and it was beautiful. The kitchen area was a building but the bar and restaurant were glazed floor to ceiling and filled with beautiful desert plants. The owner was quite complimentary about a couple of photos that I had taken. I suggested he could have the images in exchange for my Gin & Tonic. Unfortunately he did not take up my offer! Oh well, it was worth a try.

Worst: Carrying our groceries.
