Day 13

Sunday 2nd March 2025

Converting our bed into our sofas each morning has become such a slick operation that the detail of its daily occurrence no longer requires description. It turns out the secret was simple, all it needed was for me to stay out of the way! Rain forecast today so we donned our waterproof jackets and set off for an early walk to beat the rain. We managed 8,000 steps on a circuit from the campsite to the beach, along the coast road and then back up the main road to finish. Unfortunately Paul decided he could see a short cut that meant we did not have to go all the way to the top of the hill. It was not exactly a shortcut, it was a dead end. Not wanting to go back on ourselves we sneaked across a private garden (setting their alarm off in the process). We followed the path of a dried up river bed until we eventually climbed out of this and found ourselves in the campsite car park.

Best: I got on with more of my painting.

Worse: Too windy to sit outside.
