The rain is not here yet but the sky is cloudy, the temperature has dropped and the wind is very strong. We have packed up our outdoor furniture to stop it having any chance of getting blown away. We also made sure that our awning was stashed safely in its storage space as we have already experienced an awning being caught by the wind and being blown onto the roof of our first motorhome. We had to cut that awning to get it off the roof and then we had to chop up all the fittings so that we could get the whole lot off the camp site and dumped – an experience that we definitely do not want to repeat. By mid-morning we had wandered down to the café and sat in a sheltered corner in the sunshine. By 12 the wind was increasing and the clouds were building in the sky so we moved inside to the covered area of the patio and had another coffee. By 1 o’clock the wind was so strong that we could not hear ourselves speak so we moved inside and had lunch. This is turning into a very tiring holidays…
Best: The cappuccinos here really are delicious.
Worst: We were not expecting weather like this. Google says the ‘rainy’ season is December to February – hopefully a couple of days of showers and then a warm and sunny March.
